While there will continue to be a chance for isolated afternoon and evening severe storms through early next week, the odds are very low. Still, it never hurts to make sure you have your NOAA radio on standby and your emergency apps activated. The one part of the forecast that is a “for sure” deal is the heat and heat index, which will be on the rise through the middle of next week…details below. Fingers crossed that a front will move south by late Wednesday and Thursday, giving us another chance for rain. As of post time, the models are favoring south-central Texas on the rainfall totals, but a lot will depend on how for south the front goes before becoming stationary.
