The two potential storms in the Atlantic have gone “poof” along with what looked to be a potential rain event around the last week of August. Things could still change, but in the short-term, just hot and dry for at least 7-10 days. Fortunately, we had some lucky rain lottery winners yesterday afternoon before high pressure strengthened yet again over our area.

The monthly and new seasonal outlooks from the CPC should be out by Monday and if they base their forecast on the most recent 30 day rainfall forecast from the CFS model (included below), we may see a very wet September ahead!
