Several potential rain-triggers next week...

While we may see a few tiny poppers roaming around this afternoon, for the most part, we will see warm, humid and windy days through Monday. On Tuesday, an approaching low pressure from the west will bring back rain chances from Tuesday night through Wednesday. That storm moves out and is replaced by a cool front that will slide through the state on Friday, giving us additional chances for rain on Thursday and Friday. By Saturday, the front goes stationary in south Texas, increasing our odds for rain yet again over the weekend.

As is often the case this time of the year, the models don't handle convective storms very well, so as you look at the models below, you will quickly see that some are very wet and others fairly dry. The good news is that we have rain triggers and a chance for rain vs. an evil high pressure parked over us!

Our current, depressing drought update from this past Thursday.

A low pressure (shown in blue) will be our first rain trigger this week.

A cool front and an eventual stationary later in the week will increase our rain odds from Thursday through next weekend.
