Rain odds are ramping up next week with deep surface moisture and a rare June cool front interacting with each other. Here’s what the NWS has to say about our upcoming rain event: “The models continue to show good agreement and increasing confidence that a cold front will drop southward into the region late Monday afternoon into the evening hours. With the front encountering the very moist conditions (precipitable water values near or above 2"), rain chances continue to look favorable for south central Texas late Monday into early Tuesday. With plenty of moisture and lift along and behind the front, some locally heavy rainfall concerns will need to be monitored Monday into Tuesday.”

Below are all of the latest model runs…this looks very promising! There is a little blip on the tropical update, but looks unlikely to impact our weather for now.
