Rainfall Roundup!

As forecast, most of you didn’t see a drop of rain, but there were some rainfall lottery winners that recorded over an inch of rain and in one case in Dimmit County, over 2 inches!

Slightly drier air is in place today behind the dying cool front that is now stationary along a HWY 90 to I-10E line. The front will go poof over the next 24hrs but the drier air will remain in place, allowing our lows to dip into the upper 60’s and low 70’s but by the afternoon most locations will see triple digit highs. The humidity returns by Tuesday, dropping our highs by a few degrees but bumping our heat index to over 100 degrees. You can’t win in August!

Some of the latest model runs are hinting at another rain chance in 6-10 days, but for now, just hot and humid.
