Was a chilly start to the day with many of you reporting your first freeze of the season. My weather station in NW Bexar County (Helotes) recorded a low of 32 degrees. Hopefully we put a dent in the mosquito population last night! Under mostly sunny skies, temperatures have rebounded into the 50’s and 60’s this afternoon. We’ll see another cold night, but with winds shifting back into the SE, temperatures should only drop into the mid 30’s and 40’s.

Another mostly sunny day tomorrow before clouds move in from the SW in the afternoon, ahead of our next cold front, which should arrive Wednesday night. Thanks to a surface low off the coast and Pacific moisture streaming in from the SW, look for a windy, cold and wet day on Thursday, with highs likely to only reach the 40’s and low 50’s. Rain chances continue through Friday morning, but clouds will keep us cool with highs only in the 50’s.

SW winds will warm us up into the 60’s and 70’s over the weekend with lows in the 40’s and 50’s…perfect weather for enjoying the outdoors! As of today, our next rain event may not occur until the middle of the month.

How low did your thermometer go last night and where?
