An upper-level low will spin over the SW this week, giving some beneficial rain for AZ, NM, CO and Texas. While the higher rain totals will stay to our north and east (what's new?), there is still a decent chance for rain in south-central Texas, with lesser totals for south Texas. Rain odds ramp up starting tomorrow morning and continue through Wednesday with the passage of a cool front from the west. Best rain chances will be Tuesday evening and Wednesday. As is the case for the month of May, any of these storms can go severe, with hail and high winds the biggest threat.
While most of the models have this event wrapping up by Wednesday, the latest GFS model wants to continue it through Friday...we'll see if that continues tomorrow.
