Wow! I was surprised to see some dramatic rainfall totals this morning over the brush country and southern coastal plains of south Texas from storms that moved in overnight. Highest totals were 5.18 in Duvall county and 5.96 in San Patricio county.
Today will be the first of at least 6 days where we see chances for rain as a cold front moves southward today and disturbances begin moving east out of Mexico. Late this afternoon and evening there will be a chance for severe storms with hail and high winds the biggest threat…best odds will be along and north of HWY 90. Excessive rain will be possible through at least Saturday, for most of us…details below.
I’ll be winding up my vacation today and traveling tomorrow, but will try to update any severe weather watches if they are issued.
