Thanks to high pressure migrating NW of our area, we have a stationary front and some disturbances wrapping around the eastern edge of the high, giving us a 24hr rain window. As of post time, storms are forming in the Hill Country and moving south. There is a chance for some of the scattered storms that will be forming this afternoon and evening to become severe….wind will be the biggest threat. High pressure moves back over Texas during the weekend but may start weakening next week, allowing sea breeze storms to move back into the picture again. More on that in later posts in the next couple of days.

In a rather bizarre positive coincidence, Tropical Storm Dolly has formed in the Atlantic as of this morning. Don’t blink because Dolly will be going “poof” by Sunday from dry air aloft and wind shear.
