So far, it’s been a great week of tropical poppers and some decent rain totals for some of you, especially in the coastal plains and south Texas, thanks in part to what was Tropical Storm Barry! The best odds for rain over the next few days will remain west of I-37 south and San Antonio and in the western counties of the Hill Country where there will be less Saharan dust, which is inhibiting storms from forming further east. On Thursday, some very tropical air moves in from the Gulf and with the Saharan dust waning a bit, could allow more storms to form further east. By Friday, high pressure moves in and we will be reduced to just a few wildly scattered pm poppers through the weekend. Continued dry, hot and humid through next week.
