Pretty much a ditto day, with high pressure in control and almost zero chances for rain anywhere in our area. As we move into the weekend, high pressure will nudge a little west, allowing for a more active sea breeze storms to form by early next week. Most of the activity will stay along the coast and coastal plains, but a few of these pm poppers may make it as far north as San Antonio. Even so, we are not looking at much rain from these cells and only a handful of you will end up as rain lottery winners.

Below is the latest drought update and August rainfall totals.

As mentioned yesterday, the models are looking more active towards the second half of August, but as of post time, I’m not seeing a widespread rain event anytime soon. The tropics remain active, but not in our neighborhood!
