Wow…what a week! I’ll have a 5 day rainfall roundup tomorrow, but some of our totals have been impressive, with some locations recording over 7 inches of rain! With drier air in place, thanks to the cool front that ignited the great storms early this morning, rain odds will drop, but not go poof this week. We still have some moisture coming in from the SW from Tropical Storm Alvin through tomorrow, then a disturbance for our eastern counties will give them a chance for storms on Sunday, followed by a dryline and possible cool front later in the week that keeps scattered storms in the forecast through next Friday. While rain totals will generally stay below a half inch for most locations this week, it’s nice to see us not being dominated by the Hell High! With moist soils and high humidity, heat indexes will be on the rise to upper 90’s and low 100’s.
