While we are seeing a slight change in our typical summer routine, with a few showers moving in from the remnants of Edouard, for the most part we are still stuck with hot and humid days for now. The worst of the Hell High is to our NE, terrorizing folks in the Midwest this week and this will allow for some afternoon PM sea breeze poppers to develop most afternoons. Best odds will be in the coastal plains. The good news is that over the next 10 days, most of us will eventually find a little moisture in our rain gauges. The bad news, is I am not seeing any tropical systems or a cool front that could trigger some big rain totals. The GFS finally gave up on a cool front arriving around the 15th, and for now, none of the models are indicating any cooling in the near future.
Other than a tiny chance for a PM popper, Labor day outdoor activities look "mostly rain-free”. Hanging out in a pool or river will be a great option, given forecast highs in the upper 90’s and low 100’s!
