It was another chilly morning out there with most locations dropping below freezing. Below are a couple more record lows from yesterday morning:

A RECORD LOW TEMPERATURE OF 18 DEGREES WAS SET AT VICTORIA YESTERDAY.
THIS BREAKS THE OLD RECORD OF 22 DEGREES SET IN 1940.
A RECORD LOW TEMPERATURE OF 16 DEGREES WAS SET AT AUSTIN BERGSTROM
YESTERDAY. THIS BREAKS THE OLD RECORD OF 21 DEGREES SET IN 1963 AND
2004.

We will be on a warming trend through Thursday, the during the night, a quick shot of arctic air arrives during the night. It will be breezy and cool on Friday with highs in the 50’s. Lows on Saturday will be in the upper 20’s and low 30’s, then even colder for Sunday morning, with lows back into the teens for the Hill Country and 20’s for everywhere else. We warm back into the 60’s for highs on Monday and Tuesday.

We are watching for a potential rainmaking cool front to arrive around Wednesday of next week. The NBM model is not impressed, but the EURO, GFS and Canadian models are forecasting decent rain totals from next Wednesday-Friday…stay tuned!
