Odds for rain increase this weekend.

7-5-26. 3:45pm This update is brought to you by Davy Ranch Supply. We have an extensive supply of fencing materials including barbed and netting wire, t-posts, cedar and treated posts, brace and twist pipe, staples, clips, and welded panels. We also stock 7 different types of medium and heavy-duty gates ranging in length from 4 ft-20 ft. We sell galvanized portable panels and 24 ft free-standing pipe panels, too. We have concrete and poly water troughs in various sizes along with a selection bunk and hay feeders. www.davyranchsupply.com

Aside from a few very scattered and very random showers for our northern counties (thanks to outflow boundaries from storms in north Texas) and the coastal plains, almost all of us will remain rain free this week. By the weekend, high pressure will move over the four corners and could allow for some increased activity as a trough over the plains weakens high pressure over us and allows Gulf moisture to spark some daily storms. The CPC continues to keep us in slightly better than 50-50 odds for above normal precipitation in the 6-10 and 8-14 day outlooks. Don’t forget that even above normal rainfall in July doesn’t mean heavy rain since July is one of our drier months of the year.

Outflow boundaries from storms in north Texas could spark some storms in our northern counties later today or this evening.
