While there will continue to be chances for scattered storms through Wednesday, the best odds for rain will be in our far NW counties. It’s a shame that the counties that had the most rainfall over the past 48hrs are in line to get more rain, while our southern counties saw very little rain. The big rain lottery winner was near Moulton in Lavaca County, where they recorded almost 8 inches of rain! The graphics below are for 48hrs of rainfall, but this link from the NWS is for 24hrs for south-central Texas: IEM :: PNS from NWS EWX
Looking further down the road, a cold front will take a dive into Texas this weekend, giving all of us another chance for rain and more comfortable temperatures. The latest CPC outlooks continue to keep us better than 50/50 chances for above normal rain chances for the next 2 weeks.
