Was that a cool front?

Hard to believe a cool front went through today with temperatures in the 70’s and 80’s for most of us. We will cool down into the 40’s tonight, then back up into the upper 60’s and 70’s tomorrow. Friday and Saturday we will be back into the mid to upper 70’s before our next front arrives on Sunday, cooling us down and producing a few showers along the frontal boundary. This front will be very strong over the NE part of the country but only give us a glancing blow of cool air down here. We will see lows in the 40’s on Monday and highs only in the 50’s under cloudy skies. As I mentioned yesterday, this front will have overriding warm air over it, so expect mostly cloudy skies through Thursday of next week. A disturbance over the Pacific will move across the SW and eventually give us a chance for rain on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Long-range models continue to forecast a wetter end of December but they also are forecasting a warm Christmas. Let’s hope that part of the forecast changes!

A wimpy front has moved through most of our area.

2pm temperatures.

A better front arrives on Sunday but most of the colder air will stay in the NE part of the country.
