All eyes will be on an upper-level low to the west of southern California and how it interacts with a cool front that will be moving through our area late on Wednesday. Some of the models have the low moving into the SW, then quickly opening up into a trough, giving us less days for rain…other models have the low going stationary for a few days, then heading this way closer to the weekend. Either way, the Storm Prediction Center has us in the zone for potentially severe storms late on Wednesday as the front moves into our area.
In other news, Weatherbell Labs is forecasting a below normal hurricane season, but a potential early storm in the Gulf. The CPC continues to forecast better than 50/50 odds for above normal precipitation for the next two weeks.

Our rain chances depend on what this upper-level low decides to do this week!
A cold front will slide southward into Texas on Wednesday, giving us a chance for severe storms. Rain chances will likely continue even after the frontal passage.
