Except for some coastal pm poppers, most of us will see hot and humid days ahead of us as high pressure has moved into Texas from the west. Fortunately, the hellish part of the high will stay to our west (see high temps below), allowing for some storms to form along the coast and coastal plains over the next week. As I mentioned yesterday, the second half of August is looking wetter and less hot, but unless we get some kind of tropical something, rain totals will not be enough to ease the ongoing drought for our western counties. As of today, there is nothing brewing in the tropics that will impact us.

Woof!
