Cruise control weather for another 24hrs, then the beginning of the pattern change!
Disturbance #1 will enter our area on Wednesday, giving our northern counties a chance for showers and thunderstorms. As of post time, most rain totals will range from zero to a quarter of an inch and mainly along and east of I-35 between San Antonio to Austin. Higher totals will stay in central and NE Texas.
By this weekend we will be watching a strong system to our west to see if it develops into an upper-level low near Baja. Rain chances return Friday afternoon and could stay with us not only through the weekend, but into early next week. Ideally, the upper-level low will move slowly east, keeping us in a SW flow of moisture from the Pacific and sending disturbances our direction. There will also be a weak front to our west that will add into the mix of rain makers. We could see a good chance for showers and thunderstorms each day, with some of the storms potentially severe and dropping pockets of heavy rain.

Our first disturbance looks pretty wimpy for Wednesday.
I think we can relate! AI by Mark
Best case scenario for this weekend is for the cut-off low to slowly move east and not go past us until the middle of next week.
A dying front will aid in our rain chances over the weekend.
