Round one of our two rain triggers is happening this afternoon and evening as thunderstorms will start developing along the border and the Hill Country. As of post time, storms are already firing up in the western Hill Country and north of Marble Falls. The NWS has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for our NE counties, including Austin and Bastrop through 9pm tonight. We'll see an active evening of storms, then a lull on Friday morning, picking up again in the afternoon as a cool front slowly drifts into our area. Storms will linger into early Saturday, but things should settle down by Saturday afternoon.

Next week we will see several disturbances and an upper-level low move in through from Mexico. Yet another cool front will also add into the mix mid-week, giving us even more chances for rain!

As always, please tune to your local NOAA weather radio or make sure your weather emergency apps are on to alert you for severe weather at your location.
