Happy Father's Day!

I can't believe the same storms that I saw on radar this morning in north Texas are stilling hanging in there as they move south. This complex developed over Oklahoma last night and with a northerly flow aloft and outflow boundaries (like a mini cool front) have drifted southward all day. While they are weakening, it would not surprise me to see them hang in there long enough to impact at least the northern counties of south-central Texas in the next couple of hours. Meanwhile, we have quite a lot of scattered activity along the coastal plains again as high pressure has still not build far enough eastward from the west to shut down pm poppers!

By tomorrow, high pressure should squelch most storm activity through Wednesday, but by the end of next week an inverted trough will move into Texas via the Gulf and we should see increased rain chances again, especially along the coast. The latest Canadian model run (included for your entertainment), wants to develop a tropical something, then bring in biblical rain totals for the Hill Country. Don’t start building that ark yet, but it’s worth keeping an eye on it!

If the storms do make it to your backyard, let us know what happens and how much rain you get!
