Rain tonight, then a pause…

As we get closer to tonight’s rain event, the models have shifted the better odds for precipitation further north, while bringing the chances for severe storms a little further south. Fortunately, most of the Hill Country still has a chance for seeing some rain and storms tonight, but most of you living from Del Rio to San Antoinio, and points to the south, will see little to nothing! Storms will start forming in central Texas around midnight, then drift SE during the early morning hours. Odds are low, but there is a slight chance for severe storms across south-central Texas early Monday morning. Hail and high winds will be the biggest threat.
The rest of the week looks dry (a tiny chance for rain on Wednesday) with lows in the 40’s and 50’s and highs in the 70’s and 80’s. Our next chance for rain will come the first week of April…I’m still a little concerned with that system spoiling our total eclipse viewing on the 8th! Stay tuned for daily eclipse updates starting tomorrow.
