Just when most of our area is now out of the drought, the latest models decide to almost take any chance of rain out of the forecast, except for the coast and coastal plains. While the brunt of the high pressure will slide to our east over the weekend, it will still be large enough to keep us mainly dry. By Tuesday, the high builds back over us and rain odds will be reduced to almost zero for the rest of the week. Longer range models are bring slight chances for rain around the middle of the month, but unless something develops in the tropics, (not likely), we will continue dealing with just hot and humid conditions in the next 7-10 days.
While we are pretty used to steamy hot weather in south Texas, the NE is not…they are really struggling to deal with highs in the upper 90’s and low 100’s along with their typical high humidity.
