Surprise, surprise! The models had almost erased rain chances from our forecast yesterday, but looking at rain totals and radar, this has been a much more active day than anyone thought! As of post time, Guadalupe county has seen over two inches of rain today and scattered poppers are over a good portion of our area. Unfortunately, they storms are scattered, so there will be rain lottery winners and losers.
We should see a reduction of activity the rest of the week, but there will continue to be a chance for scattered sea breeze storms every afternoon, especially closer to the coast. The longer range models continue to hint at a bigger rain event in a week to 10 days…I’ll keep you guys posted!
