I don’t want to get our hopes up too much, but this could be one of the best rain events I have seen in a long time, with most models now forecasting 2-5 inches of rain over the next 7 days, starting on Tuesday through the weekend. As shared yesterday, this event will be sparked by a combination of a SW flow aloft that will bring in several disturbances from the west, lots of deep surface moisture from the Gulf and a late season front that will likely go stationary in south Texas.
