As usual, we have to suffer through warmer than normal temperatures before nature turns on the air conditioning again! We could see record highs on Friday and Saturday before a strong front moves through early on Sunday. Unfortunately, this will be a dry front, producing wind gusts over 30mph, so once again, expect near-critical to critical fire weather conditions.

Winds calm in the evening and by Monday morning there will be a chance for freezing temperatures in the Hill Country. Most of the cold air from this system will stay to our east and by the middle of next week, we will be back in the 80’s again for highs.

The models continue to look more bullish for rain during the 3rd and 4th weeks of the month, but that’s still a long way out unfortunately.
