The Hell High won’t budge! I’m looking over the latest model data and the subtropical ridge (alias Hell High) is not moving out of our area anytime soon. From the NWS: “For much of the upcoming week, mid and upper level high pressure remains anchored over the southern Rockies into northern Mexico.”

As we turn our calendars over to September, some of the models are hinting that the high pressure may drift a little further west and weaken, allowing for the potential for our sea breeze storms to return. While a low chance for impacting Texas, there is a potential wave brewing off the coast of Africa that bears watching this week.

Stay cool!
