I hope you didn’t put away your winter gear because you’ll need it for at least three days next week! A pretty strong Canadian front will roar through our area late on Sunday, dropping our temperatures from the 70’s into the 40’s by Monday morning along with wind gusts over 20mph. We stay cloudy and chilly through Wednesday with lows in the 30’s (some freezes in the Hill Country) and highs only in the 40’s and 50’s. There could be some precipitation with the front and even a slight chance for snow in the far western counties of the Hill Country and West Texas!

In the short-term, look for one of the warmest Christmas days we’ve ever seen (there have been warmer ones), with highs in the upper 70’s and low 80’s. Temps will warm up even more by Friday and Saturday, with most locations hitting the low to mid 80’s!

The models are hinting at a pattern change around the 7th…let’s keep our fingers crossed a late weather Christmas present!

Meanwhile, I hope all of you have a safe and wonderful Christmas Eve and morning. I’ll have a post out tomorrow afternoon.
