Happy Winter Solstice! Unfortunately, winter did not get the memo for this week as temperatures will continue to be 10-20 degrees above seasonal averages, not just for us, but for most of the country. Below is a graphic showing how many people will be experiencing above normal temperatures. As for rainfall, chances go up a little towards the last few days of the month and the first days of January, but no major rainmaker in sight as of today.
The latest CPC seasonal forecasts are out and no surprise, they are predicting more of the same for the first quarter of the year. As we have discussed in the past, I take any long-range forecasts with a grain of salt and a shot of Tequila!.
We had a great time in Zion Park and Las Vegas, where we went to see the Wizard of OZ at the Sphere. If you get a chance to see the production, I highly recommend it. The tornado scene was amazing and included blowing leaves, wind and of course, the incredible visual effect of thinking Dorothy’s home has just landed on top of you!
