April is looking promising!

Yet another summerish day out there with most locations already in the 90’s this afternoon. High humidity will drop our highs by a few degrees on Monday and Tuesday, before we return to the 90’s by midweek. It could be worse…as you will see in the graphic below, the Hell High has scorched the west this week with most locations recording the highest temperatures they have ever seen in March. By Friday it looks like we will see a seasonal front arrive and by the weekend, temperatures return to what the should be for this time of the year, 50’s for lows and 70’s for highs.

I’m still feeling very positive for a pattern change as we flip our calendars to April. While I can’t guarantee drought busting and lake filling rains, it at least looks like we have a chance to see average to slightly above average rainfall for the month. I have included some 45day long-range forecasts for some selected locations and they are all showing 2-3 inches of rain for the month.
