August outlook, as of today!

I've been looking at data from the CPC and long-range model runs and as of this post time, "average" precipitation summarizes my thoughts for August, with the caveat that if a tropical something ends up in Texas, all bets are off! In the short term, we have a slight chance for rain on Sunday and Monday, and the potential for a tropical disturbance to form near or on top of Cuba in the next 7 days. Right now, the latest models are steering this potential storm to the NE and away from Texas.

Below are some long-range model runs for precipitation, the monthly and weekly updates from the CPC as well as the latest models and updates for the tropics.
